About the workshops:

Intro to Nature Photography: This workshop is for people who are interested in learning how to use a 35 mm SLR camera as a creative tool for capturing the magic of the natural word. The course will cover the technical concepts of manual exposure photography as well as, composition, understanding film and it's limitations, lenses and accessories, and choosing the right lighting conditions for photographing the natural world. Students with digital SLRs are welcome. The content will be presented in a classroom (lecture/slide presentation) format. Students will then have an opportunity to practice concepts, while recieving more individual instruction, during field practice sessions.

How To Register Send check for the full amount to hold your space in the desired workshop. Checks will not be cashed until after the workshop. A check for 50% of workshop fee is required to ensure that individuals that sign up and occupy one of the limited spaces are committed to the workshop. Space is limited to 10 participants per workshop to ensure adaquate one on one instruction when students are in the field. Cancellation policy: 50% deposit refundable up until 30 days from workshop date. If cancellation 30 days or less from workshop date no refund will be granted but deposit can be used toward a workshop at a later date.

What Do You Need? For Intro to Nature Photography -Students must have a 35mm SLR camera (digital SLRs welcome), a tripod and a willingness to walk aimlessly into the forest. For Intro to the digital Darkroom - Students must have some experience with photoshop, basic computer skill, digital files to work on (from a digital camera or scans), and a willingness to stare aimlessly at a computor sceen for for hours. (Also recommended but not required - a laptop w/ photoshop software)
