Patrick takes extreme care in obtaining the sharpest and cleanest images possible. He use professional slow speed slide film and , more recently, full frame digital capture. He always photograph on a tripod to eliminate any possible camera movement.He then scans his original positive film to produce a high quality digital copy. His approach to digital image editing is to, as closely as possible, reproduce the landscape he witnessed in the field not to create something on the computer. The magic happens in nature not in the computer! All prints are created by Patrick from these 35mm scans, and digital captures using professional Epson pigment based archival inkjet printers. He takes extreme care to match the original transparensies so the finished print is as close to what he experienced in the field as possible. Prints are archival to 75 years.
All prints are mounted on 1/8" acid free foam board, matted with acid free crescent very white mat board and hand signed by Patrick.
All frames are natural wood and handmade by Patrick. Frame choices are: Cherry, Hard Maple, Antiqued Black. Frame dimensions are 3/4 "face and 1 " depth.
