This time of year Venus and Jupiter sit in the south eastern sky before sunrise. On a couple days every month the crescent moon joins them and sits over this island. On this morning I arrived about 2 1/2 hours before sunrise to witness this special astrological event. I had planned this composition a few days earlier. Clouds were predicted to move in around sunrise and they did... that show was also special but thankfully they waited long enough for me to get a couple captured of the moon and planets first. I’ll eventually get to editing the sunrise captures but for now I thought I’d edit this image. This is a three image focus stack/ exposure blend. Photo © copyright by Patrick Zephyr.
