Florida

I’ve been photographing in this location down in Florida for a couple weeks every winter for about 15 years now. In the early days I always had the spot to myself for sunrise but it seems that lately I’m surrounded by photographers and constantly needing to make sure I’m not in someone else’s shot or that someone doesn’t walk into my comp. I’ve had people literally walk right in front of my camera and sit down to take selfies with their cell phone. The way of the world today I guess. I would never ask someone to move.... they have just as much right to be there as me but maybe I’ll have to find a new stretch of Anastasia Limestone to photograph and find the solitude I seek while I’m down there. :-) My approach has always been to find places that haven’t been photographed to death. I know we all see things a bit differently and the challenge of finding new interesting compositions in a familiar place is also fun and challenging. Photo © copyright by Patrick Zephyr.
