Phidippus audax (Bryantae)
"Bold Jumper"
I had heard of and seen photographs of this unique audax form but never had I seen a spider in MA. It was on my list for this years spider searching and unbelievably I found two in Amherst, MA that were not only Bryantae but different from any Bryantae photographed to date!!! This is why I'm obsessed and excited about the jumpers! The chance to find something that hasn't been discovered yet is not only possible but likely:-) The search continues.
