This was a crazy lightshow from last winter that I have finally re-processed.    I arrived at the shore line and wandered around on the ice in the dark for some interesting foreground potential and settled on this rock breaking through the surface. The sky exploded and lasted long enough for me to scramble to a couple other comps that I had scouted in the dark. I had processed this image and a few others from that morning last year but was never happpy with the results. They just didn't appear as I experienced them on that crazy morning. While accurately recreating what I witnessed and captured with my camera in the field into a digital file has been an evolution for me, I feel that the pieces are finally coming together!! A reminder to me that there is always room for learning and fine tuning your craft.    . Photo © copyright by Patrick Zephyr.
