A Moment
Quabbin Reservoir, MA
I arrived at the shoreline about one hour before sunrise expecting a light show based on the weather forecast but nothing happened. Then as I was exploring the shoreline in search of new compositions I glanced up to see the bottom of a thick blanket of clouds light up magenta. It lasted about 5 minutes. I had just enough time to grab my 400mm and get a couple of frames before it faded away. Although I would have like to see some reflection it was a bit windy so that wasn't possible so I kept the water to a minimun in the composition. Photo © copyright by Patrick Zephyr.
