Ball of Fire

Quabbin Reservoir, MA

It's time to start scouting the shoreline for new compositions. The water level is very low and there are some exciting composition potentials.  This was my first trip back to this location since early summer and things have changed quit a bit. Along with the low water the sun is now rising much farther to the south and there are lots of Rocks!! I like to have a mental picture of the landscape before I race there in the dark to capture the magic. Althoough this was a scouting mission I did get a couple of captures that were fun.  The stick in my hand was carved by a beaver and laying there on the shoreline.
