Quabbin Reservoir, New Salem, MA
I have had this Idea in my brain for many years. On this particular morning the rainfall from the night before had caused a stream to swell, breaking up the ice and washing it out to the reservoir. I spent some time walking the shoreline collecting the right ice chunks in the dark and then after creating my frozen inukshuks I waited for the light. I was a bit cold when I left that morning ;-) -the bike ride back up the hill was a bit challenging. Photo © copyright by Patrick Zephyr.
