Phidippus Insignarius (adult male)

This amazing jumper is native to Massachusetts . This is a male preforming his courtship dance for an unwelcoming female that is on the leaf just below the frame. She continued to chase him off the leaf every time he started his dance. This particular courtship dance was high on my list of hopeful photographs but I had all but given up after an afternoon of unsuccessful attempts. I decided to give it one last try and was rewarded with a 10 second display before the female chased him off the leaf again. One down on the lifetime list of hopeful captures!!!! :-) Thanks Ray!!!
