The Meeting

Another composition I spotted while teaching a workshop that I revisited a few times before this capture. This particular composition is only possible when the water level here is really low. It was a cold night and yes I did run out there to be the other human in the scene. Actually, I ran through the water. There was a bird in the forest off to my right that didn't seem to like me being there and continually called at me the whole time I was there. I'm not sure what species but I'm pretty sure it wasn't an owl. This was a small jpg capture (the reason for the slight banding and noise) because I was messing around in my camera menu earlier in the day and change the setting and forgot!!!!! I didn't realize it until I got home and downloaded the files!!! I will never do that again!!!
